Former Steeler draft pick, " Tee Martin " was awarded the best player at the Senior Bowl, as well as MVL in the East/West Shrine game by throwing for 348 Yards in only 14 attempts with 4 TD's....Ahh, exactly how many Super Bowls did Tee take us too ?
Yeah I thought so!1
And just to prove your point, you cite a fantasy football nerd site (PFF) that graded him as a solid B+ pick.![]()
The difference is a quarterback has the opportunity to take advantage of a mistake anyone on the defense makes. He can fumble the ball and have a RB pick it up and run for a TD. He can throw a -2 yard screen pass that turns into an 85 yard TD. He can see a blown coverage and throw the ball to a WR that doesn't have a defender within 20 yards of him.
A defensive lineman goes head to head with the best offensive linemen in the country on every snap. He had many snaps against offensive linemen with very good talent, and he outplayed every one of them. Because you are able to see how he did from snap to snap with a clear picture of how he held up on every play, you get a much truer evaluation of the player's talent level.
And im going to post this again. Sure its a little bit of "bro science," but these metrics are still remarkable:

Of all the picks, this is the one I am most excited about. His sack production is ridiculous and there is no telling what John Mitchell's coaching can turn him into
Daniel Jeremiah on Hargrave, one of the picks he loved.
Round 3, pick 89 - DT Javon Hargrave, Steelers:Hargrave, from South Carolina State, was one of my favorite players to study. If he would have played at a Division I program, he would have gone in the first round. He was one of the most dynamic interior pass rushers in the draft. He had 29.5 sacks over the past two seasons. That is big-time production. If you look at his testing numbers, they stack up favorably with a lot of the best interior defensive linemen from the past two drafts.
