Vick and Steeler's defense will determine Big Ben's return

I know that we've all heard that Ben's recovery is going well and we are hoping for no setbacks.
However, I believe it will be on Vick and/or the defense to determine when Ben returns.

Ben looks on schedule for the 4 week time table. Although that may be true, I would like Ben game ready by 4 weeks, but actually return after 6 weeks.

If Both Vick and the defense, and/ or one or the other can string along some wins for the Steelers, I feel the coaches will be comfortable giving Ben a little extra time for precautionary reasons.

If Vick and/ or the defense struggles to register enough wins, I fear the coaches will pull the plug on returning Ben to early and have a high risk for reinjury.

All we can simply ask for is wins at this point. Here's hoping for the best!

I'm with you on not responding to posts as if we're pre-k Kids. Yes, I shot back at some to prove a point. You have folks talking about having tough skin. Having tough skin and having sensitive feelings has nothing to do with it.

I didn't make myself the topic of discussion, the responders did. Also most of them were making responses indirectly: meaning, they were responding to each other's responses making jabs at the Op! How about your troll responses?

You didn't respond to me directly either! You did things indirectly as well saying the Op this and the Op that responding to other posters. Doing that shows blatant disrespect towards the Op. An effective troll doesn't come out and attack anyone; an effective troll tries really hard to play the "Hey don't attack me, man, we are all fans here" while knowingly posting things to incite and inflame, like "Vick and D will determine when Ben comes back" knowing full well, the masses would disagree. They aren't gonna risk Ben's health regardless of how Vick and D play. Forcing him out there early puts the season in more jeopardy than losing games beforehand. Of course, you know this, but taking this position incites flames, so you went with it. If you want to be treated with respect, that act accordingly. This board is especially friendly and forgiving. The mods make an extra effort to keep things cordial, unlike other board who claim to do so, but allow regulars to gang up on new posters at will. The guys running this are legitimately motivated to not allow bullying or ad hominem attacks. If posters are coming out of the woodwork towards you, there is good reason for it. Don't play the "What did I do?" card when you know exactly what your posts are likely to cause. No one has a problem with varying opinions, but when your prime motivation is to cause discourse, that's another matter.

How am I trying to cause discourse? Some if the problem I see here is instead of reading the actual post, folks have a tendency to only look at the responses of the post, then attack and brainstorm.

There is no thread started where everyone is in agreement. The arguement is the blind sided comments that are made.

You came in here with attacking remarks as well as others. Look at the thread and see who was attacked, esp; when you look at the start of the thread! I'm far from a trouble maker. I'm not naive to think that everyone will agree with me, that's just not possible. I can disagree without insults.
