LOL.
Gosh... I really feel bad for the Cowboys

He won't miss any time. I have him in my fantasy team so I pay attention to it a bit. They filed the appeal before the charges were laid out or something to that affect so they are going to put in the appeal again.
The talking heads on NFL Network think the suspension will be delayed until '18.

Ezekiel Elliott has again been granted a temporarily restraining order against the NFL's decision to suspended him for six games, allowing the Dallas Cowboys running back to continue to play.
This is the second time a TRO has been filed and accepted for the second time this season.
Tuesday's TRO was requested by the NFL Players Association and was ruled upon by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

U.S. District Judge Paul Crotty issued the order, allowing Elliott to play before his legal team will need to make their case once again to Judge Katherine Fallia after she returns from vacation before or by Oct. 30. Then the NFL and NFLPA will return to discuss.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott lost an attempt to block his six-game suspension Monday when U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla denied a request for a preliminary injunction after hearing arguments from the NFL and NFLPA....
With the ruling in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Elliott's six-game suspension would again be in effect and he would be ineligible to play until the Cowboys' game against the Oakland Raiders on Dec. 17.
Elliott and the NFLPA have the option of appealing the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit, and could seek a stay that would allow him to continue to play while the appeal process plays out.

No doubt this increases Jerry Jones' interest in going after Goodell's job
This is over?
NFLPA could and probably wll appeal to Second Circuit and seek a stay of suspension until appeal is heard on merits. But that appellate court is bound by the Second Circuit decision in the Brady case to defer to Goodell and the arbitrator - staying out of the Second Circuit is why Elliott/NFLPA initially filed in Texas so a stay is unlikely. Elliott probably gone until mid-December.
Too bad this could not wait one more week - Dallas hosts the Chiefs Sunday
Elliott suspension stayed again - now eligible to play on Sunday against Chiefs
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has granted a request for an administrative stay to the NFL Players Association on behalf of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
The decision means that Elliott's six-game suspension is on hold once again and he is eligible to play Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 2nd Circuit said its brief order does not constitute a resolution on the merits of the court case.
A panel of federal judges will convene next week to hear Elliott's request for an injunction that overturns Judge Katherine Failla's ruling from Monday.

So what I'm gathering is, he'll keep having his suspension reinstated then put on hold and he keeps getting to play all season.
It stays it another week until the hearing before a three judge panel of the Second Circuit next week. If he loses next week he would need to get a stay from the full Second Circuit or, if he lost that request for an en banc stay of his susepnsion, he would need the Supreme Court to stay the suspension - good luck with that. He runs out of courts before the season runs out unless he gets a win somewhere.
Attorneys for the NFLPA, NFL, and Elliott are loving this - just keep churning those billable hours
Judge that stayed the suspension this morning did the Steelers a solid - team should send that judge some tickets or some Steelers gear
My head is spinning.
Too much nonsense in the NFL that has nothing to do with football.

Zeke loses this round - injunction denied by three judge Second Circuit panel this afternoon
Props to the Second Circuit for letting Elliott play against the Chiefs but not the Falcons this weekend
*Pluck* He's suspended *Pluck* He's suspended not *Pluck* He's suspended *Pluck* He's suspended not *Pluck* He's suspended (and so on and so on)
He should call Goodell a racist.

Honestly I don't think Dallas is screwed without Elliot. I think people forget that backup Alfred Morris has 3 1,000 yard seasons in Washington, and now will be playing behind that great O-line in Dallas. Plus McFadden who also had an 1,000 yard season in Dallas is still there too
