Interesting. Where were the panicked emergency measures over heart disease and cancer? Many people die from those, but we don't place restrictions on non-smokers until all the smokers quit, or close McDonald's to people of normal weight until all the obese people stop eating fast food. Why, we don't even suspend the licenses of sober drivers because there are drunk drivers on the road! Sadly, you still have no concept of scale, or of how to apply common sense. Consider that the great majority of people who died of COVID, 5 in 6 per the CDC, would likely be dead in the near future anyway, and your parroting of the narrative of fear that you read from the left-wing media doesn't make a lick of sense. But that is to be expected from an individual of relatively limited intellectual capacity.

There is a treatment that requires no medication for that, eat a plant based diet. My cholesterol dropped by 62% in less than 2 months since I cut meat / dairy out of my diet. Most just aren't willing to make the change, but it's 100% preventable
Cancer on the other hand, I'm not sure there's a way to totally beat that. Everyone has cancerous cells in their body, it's basically a ticking time bomb
Disease impacts individuals. Viruses impact populations. Treatment and response is totally different for either one.
Not certain why this is an elusive concept. My freshman students grasp this on day one.

Well, you could quit smoking to lower your chances of dying from cancer, for instance.
Lung cancer, heart disease, and COVID are similar in that there are simple ways to minimize your risk of health problems unless you are very unlucky. A similar approach is also appropriate: Make recommendations. That's it. If people don't follow them for whatever reason, that's their choice and it's not very important for anyone else. Certainly not important enough for compelled behavior.
