    Seahawks Poem (09/18/11)

Steelers vs. Seahawks - the home opener game
Would we rebound from a loss? Or would it be more of the same?
The opening drive we had all seen before
Ben to the end zone - did he really score?
The refs said no - so Mendenhall tried
But once again a score was denied
Seattle’s first drive got 2 yards and ended right away
This would hopefully set the tone for their day
Ben threw a few passes and Rashard would run
Taking it in for the touchdown 2nd down at the 1
Seahawks had a few plays and punted it right back
Soon Redman took it in to continue the attack
Shortly before the half a dive at Ben’s knees put him on the ground
We all watched in silence as he rolled around
That’s one tough cookie QB if you didn’t already know
He was back in a few plays and ready to go
In the 3rd quarter the Seahawks tried to get back at Ben
Just like before - he got up again
Until the 4th quarter the Seahawks didn’t cross midfield
Our defense stood strong - they didn’t yield
Even though there were more points we could have scored
It was awesome to see zero on their side of the board
Next up is the Colts and though they are without Manning
They are still tough and will require game planning
Lucas Oil Field just might be like a home crowd
No matter where we are though - we are black and gold proud
