I think he's right.

It's funny to actually hear someone say it on NFL Network. IMO they're turning the NFL into the CFL. Another year or so and it will be a carbon copy. If that happens, I'll be finding something else to do on Sundays during the Fall/Winter.
What was the main rule change that gave offenses such a big advantage? Is it no contact with a receiver after 5 yards?
Between that and "don't sneeze on a QB" yeah. Then there's the "defensless" receiver issue. It's becoming less and less of a smash mouth game.
Official SteelUniverse Guru and BrainTrust Committee Chairman!!!
I expect Faulk to be given his walking papers in short order for a comment like that. Der Kommissar isn't going to cotton to a statement like that being made on the league's own TV network, even though it's 100% accurate.
Pretty much all recent rule changes have been to the betterment of the offense and to put more points on the board. It's halftime of the Pats/Bills game and each QB has 220+ yards passing with 22 and 28 attempts as compared to 10 and 7 rushing attempts. There's little reason to run the ball any more. Defenses are basically having to play with one arm tied behind their backs.
I'm already there, dude - haven't watched one single second of any game today and haven't since the season started. Other than the Steelers, I don't give a damn about the NFL, and I suspect there will be a lot of other fans who will feel the same way. You would think fan apathy would send a message to Goodell Castro, but you'd be better off trying to throw a pebble through the Hoover Dam. His clue shields are impenetrable.
Pretty much where I'm at too. I've periodically checked GameCenter today, but I haven't watched any football this season besides a Steelers game other than the first half of the Packers/Saints opening night. Unfortunately, the hardcore fans like us are more than being replaced by the casual fans and FF Leaguers who like to see scoreboards lit up like pinball machines, and the TV ratings reflect that.
We just bought a 60" Samsung LED TV this week.
We are watching fucking football.

I'm finding it hard to let go. If I hadn't gotten NFL Sunday Ticket for free this year I wouldn't be watching much NFL. I've played fantasy football for over 20 years, usually with multiple leagues but I didn't even sign up for a single league this year. It sucks...
Ding Ding Ding... Bart Scott said football is now basketball on a football field!!! All of this is because of Fantasy Football... Sells NFL Redzone and Sunday Ticket, fantasy "fans" need to see every game to keep up with their fantasy teams and out of control stats... This is not football they put on the field every week... Just like you stated and many others have, I only watch Steelers games and check scores periodically... Football purists are now having to watch this crap they now call football, it's sad as hell..
I'm a hardcore fan, but I'm still watching. It's hard though when you have school work and work.
