Ngata is currently playing under the franchise tag that is estimated at $12.5 million.

Today is the final day for franchise tag players to sign long term deals with their team, the only others players who were tagged and have not yet signed a long-term deal are Chargers WR Vincent Jackson and Dolphins NT Paul Soliai.

Since the Ravens drafted him 13th overall in 2006, Baltimore has allowed only 31 rushing touchdowns, second-least in the NFL. The Ravens have never dropped below fifth in run defense during that span.
