Fair thee well, we hardly knew ye. Wanted to see him get a chance to show his stuff after a couple difficult seasons, unfortunately it won't happen here.

No greater fuss has ever been made over 7 catches, 10 dropped passes and 2 fumbles in the history of the NFL.

Are you KIDDING me? Calling me out for inaccurate stats for one of the biggest busts in Steelers history?

OK, he DID only catch 7 passes, I don't really KNOW how many he dropped, but at least 2 sure TD's, and he only fumbled once. Christ...happy?

I'm not sure Limas would be on my all time top ten list among Steelers busts.

That said I'd certainly put him high on the list of players who stole the most Steeler money over the years. Over 3 years worth of games checks and a clean get away in the end. D.B. Cooper has nothing on Limas.

Was this a typo? Either way, awesome.

Like I've said before, he leaves with a large wad of cash and a Super Bowl ring for doing only slightly more than I (or you) did on the field for the Steelers. A pretty good deal, if you ask me. I weep no tears for his leaving, just don't let the screen door hit ya on the way out, bud.

Didn't Duce steal a ring while with the Steelers, too?

    Absolutely...in better style than Limas.

I'd be willing to debate that somewhat. In a nutshell I give Duce quite a bit of the credit for establishing our offensive momentum early in the 2004 season. I think he was in the top 3 or 4 in the league for yards from scrimmage up until he was injured in the 8th or 9th game. I've always been a big believer in momentum when it comes to football, as it's easier to sustain momentum once established, than to establish it to begin with. Also in 2005 Duce did come in and substitute effectively for a couple of crucial midseason games.

Granted he didn't live up to expectations, but overall his impact was felt and he did contribute to two exceptional seasons.

Nobody in Steeler history wore a set of sweats like Duece. In addition, Willie Colon might be in that second tier.

By the way, Dorin Dickerson no show to practice today. Team has re-signed Jamie McCoy.

That might have been an inaccurate initial report. Sounds like he got hurt.

I was all for the Duce signing. People forget that he was not only a great RB running the ball, but exceptional at catching the ball out of the backfield. HOWEVER, The Eagles used to be excellent at drafting and playing the FA game, and when they let him go, it should have raised some red flags. They knew something and we didn't figure it out until too late...

Another Steelers era comes to an official end.

Would love to see Wes Lyons develop this season and come back to camp next year. I hope they give him another chance. Although, with the depth we have at WR, will be tough to crack the line up, unless Ward retires.
