    Blow to the QBs head

I know this rule is supposed to be a little more relaxed this year, but

At one point, Julius Peppers chased down Ryan, sacked him, and ripped off his helmet. That play was kind of indicative of the defensive dominance displayed by the Bears.
this is several times now through preseason and week one. To me it's a penatly, what do you think

To me, trying to rip off a player's helmet should be an unnecessary roughness penalty. It popping off on accident, no. But intentionally trying to rip it off, yeah. The brushing of a hand on a helmet or the helmet being struck somewhat as a QB goes to tackle the QB or for the ball, no foul. A quarterback's nose being broken because of a hit to the head, yes.

It depends on whose head the nose is attatched to.

It should be a penalty but, again certain players get the call. It is not an equal we know that for sure.

    True.

Brady, Manning, Brees, Manning Lite, Homo: Penalty and possibly an ejection

Roethlisberger: "He was just trying to make the tackle."

I think we should go back to the old days: Ripping off the QB's helmet is not a penalty as long as you knock him out and piss on him.

Well, OK, I guess that's not the old days of football so much as gladiator fighting or street brawling, but I'd still love to see it and think it would spice up the game. It would definitely draw more fans. Or maybe not. I bet Harrison would be great at it, though.
