    Starkey: Steelers' Aaron Smith rejuvenated

    He's back for season No. 13. Strong as ever. Eager as a rookie. Thrilled to be the Steelers' starting left defensive end for their season opener Sunday in Baltimore.

    But the best news in Aaron Smith's life is happening at home, where his 7-year-old son, Elijah, long in remission from leukemia, is winding down 3.5 years of chemotherapy treatments. The last is scheduled for December.

    That will easily be the most important victory of Aaron Smith's career..........
