May as well take 40 million dollars and burn them en masse. The Eagles will come to regret that when Vick's effectiveness inevitably regresses. He caught everyone off guard last year coming out of jail, but the book is out on him now. He's the same player he was back in Atlanta. Can't read defenses worth a crap and thinks of running before passing. Great for regular season highlights, but sucks in the postseason.
Oh well, it's Philthy. They effectively shut their Super Bowl window, because Vick ain't taking them there. Remember, this dude was a backup to freaking Kevin Kolb at the beginning of last year.

Keep hearing that the Eagles and Jackson aren't even in the same ballpark right now.
Vick is only going to make about 11% of this contract. All his creditors, the Falcons, the lawyers, he'll have all his creditors paid off by 2014. He'll make about $1.8M a year if he goes the whole 6 years...

If he is getting $40 million guaranteed, isn't that 40% of the $100 million total? Plus whatever he gets in base salaries for each year which would make it > 40%.
I highly doubt he has THAT many bills; didn't he declare bankruptcy? If not he should have.
All his creditors, lawyers and Atlanta Falcons he still owes. They were breaking it down on CNBC today. He'll make a little less than 11% when all is said and done...and I think that was before taxes...lol.
