Wes Welker exits with neck injury

New England wide receiver Wes Welker has left Saturday night's preseason game at Detroit with a neck injury.

Welker's return is questionable. Welker appeared to suffer the injury while attempting to make a tackle on an interception thrown by quarterback Tom Brady late in the second quarter..........

Yep. But I think Goofdell is forgetting that if you just throw the players out there without any preparation, we'll see a lot more injuries in Week 1 and Week 2 of the regular season. The veterans need the preseason to get back into game shape and the coaches need it to evaluate the backups.

Welker is one of the few Cheats* I respect. Hope his injury isn't too serious and that he's back on the field very soon.
