    Starters to play a half against the Falcons

    The third preseason game is always when the veterans play the longest, and it will be no different against the Falcons.

    Coach Mike Tomlin said the starters will play at least a half Saturday night and one of the units might even begin the third quarter. He said his top two quarterbacks -- Ben Roethlisberger and Byron Leftwich -- will play for sure, but he hasn't decided how and when he will use Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon............
