Rex Ryan Sounds Off On ‘Ridiculous’ Pass Protection, Jets’ Preseason Loss

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) – Don’t tell Jets coach Rex Ryan that Monday night’s 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans doesn’t count.

“I hate losing, our team hates losing,” Ryan seethed after the game. “I don’t care if it’s preseason or not, we know in the big picture, you forget about what your record is. But still, at the time, I hate losing.”

Houston’s defense produced seven sacks with starting offensive linemen Nick Mangold and Brandon Moore out.

Or rather, the Jets’ offensive line gave up seven sacks.

“Clearly we’ve got a long way to go with our protections,” said Ryan. “We’ve got to figure this thing out, because it’s ridiculous.”

Say what you say about his arrogance and mouth , and feet haha. But the damn guy is demanding of his players and even if its pre-season he wants things run right. If you let that pass you by during the pre season then the regular season will be a disaster.

Wonder what his reaction would have been if his team played like the Steelers in their 1st preseason game

Im with you on that one, first with Greenberg, then Colin "im above all" Cowherd, Rucco and Lumberg are pretty funny, and then Michael Kay just yapping with Don LaGreca and then Greg Buttle. Its sickening. I loved listening to them after they got their asses handed to them by the Steelers in the AFCC

The blob needs to just keep his mouth shut and spew his venom in the locker room instead of attention whoring it all over the place. Go eat a donut, Chub-A-Bub. Or a dozen.

Let me guess, the "Stealers" were "gifted" that game by the refs, right?

I would really like to see the Jets implode this year.

Kay and LaGreca were like, oh they ran out of time. Diehard Jet fans like Jody McDonald and Greg Buttle said that they flat out got their asses whooped because they couldnt tackle. And they questioned the 4th and goal call saying it should of been Shonn Greene instead of LT even though LT is the "leaper" when it comes to those plays.
