id like to see what the young man has! He really didnt get a chance with us last year. the niners are a train wreck trying to get rid of may and cutting gibson makes you wonder if they want to put a good product on the field much like the bills

I remember playing basketball with him in my driveway when we were in high school together.

I'd like to have him back...shoot i never wanted them to cut him just so Aaron Smith could stay active (and not play again like i knew he wouldnt). I know they could put B Batch on IR and not have to cut anyone right now...it'd be nice if he could replace Foote...but that leave the team with no real vet backup...so i dont see it happening.
I won't lie...I cringed when they cut him to keep Smith active. I cringed again when Smith never hit the field. Maybe even face palmed. Lol.
49ers apparently going after Maybin...maybe thought they had a jump on him and prematurely released Gibson? 4 other teams have also offered Maybin a one-year deal.

Maybin needs a better team if he's gonna succeed. Doubt the 49ers can use him
Maybe it's the fact that they're already dealing with a first round pick also struggling with the transition, and can't afford to have two players like that on their roster?

I'm not sure what to make of this. SF also employs a 3-4. Thad was being asked to convert from college DE to NFL OLB. That's a tough transition, and some guys just wash right out. He's undersized to play 4-3 DE, so I wonder if he is just simply not able to wrap his head around the transition?
Loved him at OSU, but not every stud Buckeye can cut it in the pros...

I personally do not like the waivers system...i think regardless of how long a player has been in the league/etc...he should have a say so where he wants to play...and not just get claimed by someone.
Would've been nice to see him return. I think He definitely needs to be in a 3-4 system to have a chance...
