He can't be a Brett anyway. The nature of his position is different.

With a quarterback you have to know who the guy is and plan accordingly, but with a receiver there are other players on the roster. If Hines were to retire at the end of the season, we'd draft a replacement. If he retired during training camp, we keep someone we would have cut. Even if he retired during the regular season, we just give his touches to Wallace, Brown, and Sanders.

The biggest loss, when he calls it a career, will be his leadership. He's done a great job developing the next generation of Steelers receivers and that will pay off on the field for a long time.
