Yea, I'd like to see us move up in the 2nd. I'm not liking the chances of a good CB being there for us in the 2nd.

I think Cameron is gonna be another Ziggy Hood project. Another Player that can stick in the nose/ 5 technique position. Hes gonna have to earn his spot with Ziggy, Big Snack, Keisel and Aaron Smith. I think Hoke jobs is in danger .

Watching Mikey T's press conference after our first pick, and he looks more tired and exhausted then I've ever seen him.

I have my doubts he'll be back at all. Love the guy, but it honestly looks like he's reached the point where his body is just too broken down in general. Plus, more tellingly, this year when he was out, we were able to fill in for him for the first time.

Honestly, I'd worry more about Aaron Smith's job then Hoke. We don't have another NT. Smith has missed almost 2/3rds of the last two seasons, and earns quite a bit more than Hoke in comparison--and Ziggy Hood is on the rise.

Naa, we might need those! Just bundle all the rest of this years, pick up the CB at the beginning of tomorrows pics... then head on off to the bahamas for vacation!

i sure haven't done my research. is Cameron Heyward a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DE? (saw some guy on twitter thinks we're moving to 4-3 soon now)

and now we have another potential player that can fill in for him, yep

That's why I'm saying he'll likely be asked to take a pay cut. If he can still play he'll likely stay, but I don't think that at his salary

Harris, Williams, House, Dowling, Gilcrest, Brown, and even a couple of interesting players in the 3rd round. I think we will find a pretty good CB tomorrow.

Agreed. I love Smith but he might have to take a big salary cut to stick this year. Ziggy proved last year that he's ready to be a starter.

Yeah Im just cutting some slack to Aaron since hes so dominant and such an inspirational leader. I think Aaron knows the EXIT door is slowly starting to open up on him. Ziggy was an incredible fill in. But lets not forget the Keisel got hurt last year as well. Nothing wrong with Depth. But That Front 3 is going to have some good competition this upcoming camp.

He was a 4-3 DE but he played the 3 Technique and even Dropped in Coverage. Youtube his INT against Miami University and youll see he can move around a bit. Hes too big to be a 3-4 OLB so hes definitely gonna be a 3/5 technique 3-4 DE. Hes great at stopping the run, which is his strong point and the priority of a Steelers DE, but his Pass Rushing needs to develop. He sometimes tries to bulrrush his way to the QB, doesnt use too much swims or spins.

No CB pick in the 1st round ? Maybe this means we already have some kind of confidential commitment from Nnamdi A. ....lol.

Good night guys. There is so much talent in the 2nd and 3rd round, tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day. I would still love to have 2 2nd round pick somehow.

One funny thing I remember from last year...when good ol' Walterfootball.com had his 2011 draft up (during the 2010 season) he picked Heyward for the Steelers then too.

    Re: 2011 NFL Draft

He's a good football player and we have a lot of aging guys up front. At least the young tandem of Hood and Heyward are some good planning. Now I hope to see a CB and hopefully an OT going forward to prepare for some aging guys in those positions.

Cant complain about a good football player and Heyward is that.
