They were just making fun of the owner of the Cavs on SportsCenter after he made this statement:Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Cleveland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Isn't it odd how Tony and I just posted the same thing at the same time.... Jinks!
I've been watching Cleveland news tonight and over the course of 3 hours James has become the most hated man and Gilbert the most loved.
but mine has the picture thats worth 1000 words. so much that could be said will go unsaid. i will just laugh.
And you wonder why Cleveland can't win shit, with owners like that how can you? Nice guarantee Dna, maybe Mo will start to shoot lights out in the playof....oh wait you won't win 20 games next year.
Maybe Cleveland has a shit season and gets the right to draft The Ohio State's Jarred Sullinger and make him their new favorite son.
Any questions about why LBJ left should be answered by that letter.
This shit is too good to make up....http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5365793
That has to be a joke letter...please tell me it's a joke!
If it's not, it's one of the worst examples of classlessness I've ever seen, and exactly what I'd expect from Cleveland. No matter how angry you might be, you ALWAYS show class. Gilbert is no better than he perceives Lebron to be.
http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010..._saddened.html
Jesus Cleveland, it's too easy..."He'll be back -- I mean we have a knew coach this year so we could be better than Miami," said Ken Glowacki of Amherst.
How stupid can you be to make a guarantee like that? I guess its not impossible, but damn! How stupid!
nope. its taken from their main fishwrap, and pretty obvious it wasnt written in 5 minutes of haste. i guess the OWNER was telling the truth when he said legone had absolutely no input in the hiring of their new head coach.
which begs the question....
is everybody in cleveland this retarded?
i guess lebron's "love of the area" , just wasn't enough .....![]()
I feel sorry for XFL, he gets it. The rest of Cleveland can rot in hell.
The Drive
The Fumble
Art Modell
LeBron
Art Modell is in a class all his own. Lebron left to win more championships. Art Modell stole our team from us because he couldn't manage his outside-of-football interests properly. Then, after being in Baltimore for a short while, realized that he still couldn't do it and had to sell the team.
Lebron left the team, but one player leaving is not like 53 players and en entire coaching/scouting staff leaving. Art Modell is a piece of shot. Lebron just wants to win and doesn't believe Cleveland gives him the best chance at that. HUGE Difference.
Official SteelUniverse Guru and BrainTrust Committee Chairman!!!
The Cavs owner sounds very butthurt. He has to show better professionalism than that. He sounds like an Internet Tough Guy. Could've taken the higher road and took it like a man, instead he whines like a baby in the media.
Yeah, but he does speak some truth in his accusations that James "quit" in the playoffs. If you watch the games, he is the NBA MVP that looked afraid to put the game in his hands.
My bet is that even in Miami.....when its crunch time the ball will be in the hands of Wade, not the quitter.
Ya know... I understand that a Steelers forum isn't going to have a lot of pitty for a rival city, but... don't you think that the way LeBron handled this was just the least bit shitty, after all the love NE Ohio has shown him over the last 7 years? I've gone to the Q to watch LeBron play many times over the past few years... I've never seen an athlete so adored by a fan base. To literally bitch slap them on national TV is just beyond belief, to me. The fans didn't/don't deserve that kind of bullshit.
LeBron has every right to do as he pleases with his life and his career... he also has the responsibility to be a man about it. He should have met with Gilbert and notified him of his decision BEFORE he went on the national spotlight and dropped the bomb; total disrespect to his employer and his fanbase to do it the way he did. I can't help but think less of him for the way in which he orchastrated this utter, egotistical fiasco.
Gilbert should have kept his mouth shut, no doubt. He should have slept on it and responded when his head was clearer. I don't condone his actions at all, but I sure do understand it.
Good luck to you LeBron... I have no ill feelings toward you. Thanks for a great run in Cleveland. I also hope you look back on this in the future and realize how badly you handled this.
