Top Ten Biggest Upsets: Super Bowl XLII

After the 2 times that the steelers have won the super bowl in 2005 and 2008, the Giants' victory against the patriots is my preferred time.

    It was an amazing moment!

I will always have a big respect for the Giants!

I agree. The Giants saved the NFL from a 756* scenario.

I don't know, I think Super Bowl III was a much bigger upset. Nobody thought a team from the new league was remotely as good as an NFL team or gave the Jets any chance of wining. Colts had only lost one game that year, people thought they were unstoppable. New England was undefeated but if you looked beyond their record and watched them play they were obviously running out of gas down the stretch. Giants were leading and almost won in week 17, Ravens had them on the ropes a few weeks earlier but screwed themselves with a bad timeout and a couple really dumb penalties, eagles almost beat them with a backup QB, and San Diego completely outplayed them in the AFCCG but the Shottenheimer and the Chargers choked that one away. To me the Giants winning was not as much of a shocking upset as so many people make it out to be; they were playing really well down the stretch and New England was not.
