He was NOT running in a straight line, parallel to the sidelines, rather, so he was actually running further, which cuts down that time. THEN, on top of that, he was ALSO tracking the ball and adjusting to it.

THAT... is fast. But again, that is exactly what we saw on his return for a TD at the beginning of this year.
