    The number 7

I made a list of 21 (3x7=21) occurrences of the number 7 this season. I acknowledge that one could do this with any number for any team and some of it I am stretching a tad. But you have to admit some of this list is kinda eery.

    Big Ben wears #7

Ben is in his 7th year in the NFL

This is the Steelers 77th year in the league.

This will be the Steelers 7th Super Bowl trophy.

If you add the numbers of Troy Polamalus jersey (4+3) you get 7.

Troy had 7 interceptions this year

    Hines Ward is 34 (3+4=7)

    Roethlisberger has 14 letters 2x7=14.

Big Ben's favorite receiver Mike Wallace wears 17

Big Ben threw 17 Td's this year. When Ben throws 17 TD's we have gone to the Super Bowl twice and the AFC game once.

Big Ben also has 7 TD's in the 4th quarter (Ben has another stat with 7 in it but I didn't add it because its one that that isn't very good and I don't want to jinx him).

    The Steelers 7th trip to the postseason this decade (2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010).

If you subtract Harrison's number 9-2 you get 7.

Tomlin is one of only seven coaches in league history to win a Super Bowl within his first two seasons as an NFL head coach.

Here we go Steelers, here we go is 7 words

Casey Hampton has 7 total tackles in the 2nd half

Charlie Batch wears 16. If you add 1+6 is 7.

Emmanual Sanders has 7 first downs in the 4th quarter.

Dick LeBeau was inducted into the hall of fame on Aug 7, 2010.

There are 7 defensive linemen on the team Brett Kiesel, Casey Hampton, Aaron smith, Ziggy Hood, Chris Hoke, Steve McClendon and Nick Eason.

Kevin Colbert has 7 letters in his last name.

    Im stopping at 21.

We got to Superbowl 43(4+3) because of 43's pick 6 at the end of the Ravens game.

My favorite number is 8, and I back #7 so 7 + 1 = 8 it's all connected! Mine totally didn't make sense siss but yours did! NICE work!

Preacher has a thread of creepy similarities from this season and our 08 season. You should check it out. By the way, I love this numerology stuff, I think its fascinating.

    Re: The number 7

This would actually be our 8th trip to the SB, not 7th.

But this is our 25th playoff berth (2+5=7)
and winning #7 would be our 34th playoff victory (3+4=7)
    which would result in a 34-18 post-season record (34-18=16 and 1+6=7)

I got one. This is Dallas, TX's 1st Super Bowl, and the 1st Super Bowl played in their new stadium. The Dallas Cowboys VERY first game (as a new franchise) in 1960 played the Steelers, and lost 35-28... a 7 point victory by the Steelers ! ...sign of things to come !?!?!
