Couldn't have happened to a nicer fuckwit. Now I can root for Michigan again. If he ends up coaching Pitt, first I'll puke, and then I'll never root for them again so long as he's the HC.

There seems to be some confusion on Rodriguez. Is he or isn't he fired?

ANN ARBOR, Mich. • While the Associated Press says Rich Rodriguez has his job for at least another day, the Detroit Free Press is reporting he's out.

The newspaper says that the coach met Tuesday with athletics director Dave Brandon, and that Brandon made the decision to fire him.

The AP says the two will meet again today to discuss Rodriguez's future.

Uncertainty hangs over college football's winningest program for another day.
Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez met with athletics director Dave Brandon for several hours Tuesday amid conflicting reports - but no announcement - about Rodriguez's future with the struggling Wolverines.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Brandon had decided to make a change after the program's worst three-year stretch in almost 6 1/2 decades, capped by a 52-14 by Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl on New Year's Day. But the Associated Press, citing a person familiar with the situation, said Brandon hadn't made a decision and he and Rodriguez were to resume talks Wednesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the details of the evaluation were supposed to remain confidential.
