Chargers Vincent Jackson, Marcus McNeill threaten holdouts

    http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2...-rejoins-2010/

However, sources said agents for both players recently informed the Chargers that if the letters were sent the team would not see Jackson or McNeill for “some time.”

What “some time” means is up for interpretation, but sources familiar with the thinking of McNeill and Jackson said the players are prepared to sit out into the season and even through 2010.

Jackson will have his salary reduced from $3.268 million to $583,000 if he does not sign in the next week. McNeill’s salary would go from $3.168 million to $600,000.

lol, that's an ultimatum the Chargers Front Office can't win. They'll both probably sign eventually in some way whether it be by tender or extension, but the Chargers aren't going to let them sit out

Just pathetic. The league pushed a possible lockout next season and evey players jumps on the greed train, all for the money so true and so sad.

Both are underpaid at $3mil. McNeil especially, when you consider he has been a pro bowl LT and guys playing RT are making double that.

    Remember.........stay classy San Diego.
