Question What is the worst draft class of all time?

there is always that question that will be debated on till the end of time. Who is the greatest player of all time? whats the greatest team of all time? was matthew berry born without hair and is he jealous of kipers'? But the one that intrigues me the most is what is the greatest draft class of all time? a question that may never truely be answered based upon the changing of the game as we speak. players are becoming more athletic and breaking boundaries that used to be thought as untouchable. It used to be amazing to see a quarterback throw for over 4,000 yards in one season, yet this season alone we already have 4 ( peyton manning, drew brees, phillip rivers and matt schaub) with one week still left in the season. But the question I impose to you all is what the the worst all around draft class from top to bottom? answer this question based upon personal opinion as well as research.

Just about any Browns draft from 1999-2009.

The Pats in 2007 was pretty brutal. Granted, they didn't have a 2nd or 3rd round pick but Brandon Merriweather was the only one who did anything of note for the team.

The Steelers' draft in 1956 wasn't too pretty either. Joe Krupa was the only Pro Bowler. And we spent the 1st overall pick on Gary Glick, a colassal mistake. We didn't even know anything about the guy.

Lol. He's the only defensive back in history to be selected 1st overall. To take a few lines from Dan Rooney's book,

"A few weeks earlier, [then head coach Walt] Kiesling had gotten a letter from the coach at Colorado A&M in Fort Collins, telling us that he had a great player, a defensive back named Gary Glick....Kies was a big defensive guy and he decided we needed Glick more than anybody since Whizzer White."

    Rooney would argue, saying...

"The guy's okay. But we don't need to take him as our bonus pick. He's a sleeper. Nobody knows a thing about him. In fact, we don't know a thing about him. We don't have film, nobody's seen him, all we've got is a letter from a coach we never heard of...We can pick him up in the third round."

"We went ahead and used our bonus pick on Gary Glick, passing up future Hall of Famer Lenny Moore and quarterback Earl Morall."

Rooney finally seeing the film on Glick, after he was drafted.

"Our hearts sank. We saw a wind-swept stadium with open seats, no benches for players to sit in on, dogs running across the field....We went to see [Art Rooney] in his office on the first floor....he could read our faces.

So he didn't look good, did he?"

The 1984 draft produced no Hall of Famers, although there were some decent players:

What an underwhelming list for the whole league. I never looked at this one that closely and now I see why.

The Steelers picks were just horrible. Louis Lipps was the only decent pick. Terry Long was good for a few years. But, that's it.
