I think we’re all in agreement that the Pittsburgh Pirates changed forever on December 8, 1992, also known as the day Barry Bonds signed with the San Francisco Giants. But I think few foresaw exactly how low the organization would sink for the 17+ years since.

On many an occasion over the years, people have said the Pirates had hit rock bottom, which doesn’t even make sense when you really think about it. Rock bottom should be the absolute low point that you hit once, yet the Pirates managed to top themselves time and time and time again.

Today, we’ll look at a few of these moments, along with a number of other incidents that the team has suffered through post-Barry. In each and every case, you came away shaking your head in disbelief, usually muttering, “Only the Pirates”.

So in honor of their last World Championship 31 years ago, here are 31 of the most embarrassing moments in Pirate history that have occurred since Barry Bonds left for San Francisco. Hopefully, you can make it through all of them without the use of a barf bag.
