Purple Out was just as pathetic as those Teal Poms-Pom in Jacksonville that one year.

At the end of the day, the Terrible Towel prevails.

Wow! Pretty brutal, especially since the teams split games and they are still 8-4. I don't remember ever looking at a fan forum where the fans were so brutal to each other.

Re: So much for the "Purple Out"

The Ravens had the benefit of the refs and just got out smarted by a team with more heart. The Steelers made more big plays all around. The Ravens have no excuses to fall back on to give them a false sense of security and it really ripped the hearts and souls out of many of their fans.

This was supposed to be their year and it just imploded. they are really just over achievers and are lucky to get this far. Joe Falco is the AFC's version of Tony Romo.

The Purple Out? Bwa ha ha ha!!!!

The Purple Out got smacked down by the Terrible Towel. Can you imagine how ecstatic Myron would have been after last night's win? He probably danced the Macarena at least a dozen times last night and was teaching God and the angels how to do it until the clock struck twelve!

Re: So much for the "Purple Out"

With all their Free Agent aquisitions of Boldin and Housh to round out a nice recieving core, a three-headed monster in the backfield, an aging but still stingy D, a solid O-Line, and Flacco in his third year, the Ravens were aggressively banking on a AFC North Division Title and a Super Bowl run. This was going to be THEIR year to make a run. They were going to get the Pittsburgh roadblock out of the way and cruise to the Playoffs.

But once again, it's not the case.

They did not show the fans a lot. I could not tell if there really was a "purple out".

There was a Purple Out. The Purple went Out of the stadium with bruised egos, tail feathers between their legs and a big fat L.

Purple Out was a idiotic idea from the get go. The Rats fans already wear a lot of purple. All it did was make the Steelers fans and the Terrible Towels more noticeable.
