Some good news on the injury front

The Steelers have some good news on the injury front as defensive end Brett Keisel, who was inactive four of the last five games with a hamstring injury, is expected to be available this week.

“He is going to be a full participant at the early portion of the week and be available to play for us and that is a good thing,” said Coach Mike Tomlin.

Center Maurkice Pouncey, who left the Oakland game injured, should be good to go this week as well..................Wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was active for the first time since the Baltimore game on Oct. 3, is a question mark right now with swelling in his knee...................

I just hope Keisel is 100% when he steps on the field. It seems to be a nagging injury and if he keeps going out and forcing it, he is going to end up with a tear and his season will end early as well. Also thank god Pouncey will be back, we need that kid out there or this OL will struggling worse!

I agree with everything said. Our O-line is not that good but with Pouncey out it is terrible. He's been our best lineman so far. And Keisel needs to be sure he's 100%. I think it'll give a lift to the front. Not that they didn't play well last week because they did but from a morale perspective I think having him back in the lineup will be good.

I'm not sure that we really want Brown to play if it makes his knee even worse. It's not like he'd be effective returning punts with a bum knee anyway. ARE can handle the job for another week. I think that ARE might make the Pro Bowl this year as the fair catch caller.

I'm so happy to hear that The Diesel will be back on the field this weekend! He just brings that special "something" to the line and though the D played well last week, whenever Brett isn't in there, it is quite noticeable.

As for Pouncey - the OL would really take a huge hit if he misses any time. This young man definitely shines like the north star and I see some Pro Bowls in his future.
