You do realize that the blind Obama lovers (the ones who voted for Obama because he was hip and cool, then went back into their almost-never-ending-political-hibernation) will be out in full force? There are far more americans who don't know shit about politics and just vote for the one that catches their attention. The GOP is going to STILL need someone who can out style and profile Barack Obama. Right?
You may want to edit your post WH. You didn't add in Romney's +.

Of course there will be those die-hard Obaaaaaaaama worshippers who will pull his lever no matter what, but I believe by the time the 2012 elections roll around, he will have pissed off so many in his own party, the GOP could run one of the Yo Gabba Gabba creatures and come out with a W.

I like Palin Stlrtruk but I don't think she is electable as the left wing media is (unfairly) brutal on her.

Admittedly, they are all over Romney as well...

I also Ron Paul A LOT too but I feel he will have a hard time getting the nomination due to lack of charisma.

I Like Palin, but not as a presidential candidate, I think she could be a good Vice President or another office, Right now I think she could use some more experience.

    I couldn't agree more.
Although I personally like Palin (sorry haters, she isn't stupid), she won't win a general election. The GOP needs a charismatic conservative who can fool the general electorate who doesn't pay attention into thinking that he/she is a moderate. Much like Obama did. So far, I haven't seen that candidate.

I remember watching the GOP Canidatorial debates...and I actually LIKED Mitt Romney. I really thought he was going to win the nomination. I don't know why though. The media outlets that I was paying attention to were acting as if he had no support...then boom out of nowhere...McCain wins. I think things would have turned out different if Romney would have won.

Incidentally, I've met Mitt Romney. He comes across well on camera, but that's an act. I won't be voting for him.

Romney has a lot of support among conservatives, but I never cared for him. I can't really explain why other than every time I see him I think ... used-car salesman.

oh, you mean like the whole "Bush stole the election in 2000" thing ? Nah, only a few conspiracy theorists still hold on to that claim. I meant the DNC nationwide, you know, who have such loyal Democrat voters that they vote even after they're dead. And some that are so gung-ho to vote Dem that they vote multiple times. In some cases, like Nevada, you're votes already been cast for ya by the time ya show up at the poll. Talk about convenience.

But let's not hijack the thread. I apologize to the original poster of this thread for my part.

I doubt it. Romney and Rudy were the favorites when we had the 2008 vote-off game (which included both parties' candidates).

Plus Santorum's the first one off...that's because a lot of people here have ties to PA and know him all too well.

    Excellent observation WH!

I had mentioned several times on SF when Romney was the front runner early on in the primaries that the left wing media was putting out hit piece after hit piece on Romney and was portraying McCain in a much better light in the primaries, I felt because they believed Obama would stack up better against McCain.

NOTHING against McCain, just a personal observation / opinion.
