Pittsburgh Power Football Games To Air On Local TV & Radio Stations
Home games to be broadcast on Pittsburgh’s CW (WPCW-TV);Pittsburgh, PA – (February 25, 2011) The Pittsburgh Power, WPCW-TV, and KDKA-FM Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan today announced they have entered into agreements to broadcast game coverage of the newest Arena Football League team. Pittsburgh’s CW (WPCW-TV) will broadcast all eight Pittsburgh Power home games beginning with the home-opener on Friday, March 11 (8:00PM), while Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan (KDKA-FM) will carry all 18 regular season games and all playoff contests. Both stations are owned by CBS, and are a part of the company’s cluster of six television and radio stations in the Pittsburgh market.

The Pittsburgh Power Invites Public to Open House at CONSOL Energy Center, 3/10
The Power invites the public, free of charge, to come to CONSOL Energy Center, March 10th, from 7PM to 9PM, to see the arena football field and to watch open practice. Fans can find their seats, tour the arena, and walk on the field. No tickets are necessary.

The Pittsburgh Power has trimmed their preseason roster down to 24 players for the season opener, March 11th, verses the Philadelphia Soul. “This is always the hardest part of the job,” said Head Coach Chris Siegfried. “Camp was competitive and spirited, and we are very confident in our staff evaluations and the roster we chose”.

Irving Cambell, #6, is intruiging to me because I watched him play in person when he played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers in the now defunct Arena Football League 2, the AFL minor league, a couple years ago. He's a good receiver and I hope he does well for the Power. Terrance Carter, #23, should be a very good player. He's an arena football vet.
