An example of that is Leota at OLB. The only reason he didn't make this roster is because that position group is loaded. There are some pretty good players on that practice squad.

I think the biggest question is how well the offensive line will play. If that group can show real improvement, I believe this team can be very good.

Chuck Clark and Max Scharping were signed and Donte Kent and Will Howard were placed on IR

It does seem a bit deeper. Although o line seems thin to me. BUT every NFL team is thin at offensive line. Fact of life.

On paper, the DB room is deeper than it has been in a long time. If thinking back to the nineties with a group anchored by Woodson and Lake.

D line looks like a heckuva deep group. I’m know he gets a ton of crap on the Steelers internet but when Loudermilk is your worst Dline guy…you’re doing okay.

The secondary truly has a ton of talent. There is some veteran talent, so you have to worry about performance falling off quickly. But the quality of the players and the experience they have can't really be questioned. They could be terrific.

You're right about the defensive line. Loudermilk is far from a star, but a pretty good piece coming off the bench as maybe the weakest link. It's all about perspective.

Adding Harmon and Black are most likely big upgrades from the revolving door Ogunjobi was, plus they give greater flexibility along the line as Black appears to be able to play anywhere.
