This forum has been home for over a decade, we have had great debates , epic disagreements and a ton of laughs both Friendships and Nemesis's have been made but at the end of the day we were and still are Steelers family .. My personal Journey here is likely over , the lack of forum updates has pretty much killed my ability to navigate this forum (it literally took me 15 min to get to the place to make this post) it has to do with the security of the site and its no longer over ride capable in firefox settings ... I will click on the site from time to time to see if it has been fixed but I am not hopeful that it will be as its been this way off and on for nearly half a year now with no real change except the inability to side step it is now gone .. I wish you all nothing but the best and pray for good things for each and every one of you! I will never forget the bonds made as some go back 25 years or so (Lemonhead oops Hawkman , Mojouw came here with me from our old forum) and several of the guys here have become what I consider internet friends and I would name you specifically but I fear I could forget to name one and offend unintentionally but I think you all know who you are .... I would like to apologize to anyone here that I may have insulted along the way believe me when I tell you it was led by passion of the team more than being personal towards you individually, that said there is no good excuse ... Continue to allow your passions to lead you but I implore you all to try and be aware that those around you share your passion just perhaps not your perspective and maybe that keep it from getting as heated and out of hand ... ( I have no business telling you I know I am guilty as charged) anyways before this gets to sappy - Go Steelers , Dwins out

Sorry to see you leave, I will always consider you to be one of the best friends I've ever made on a Steelers message board.

Have you tried using the DuckDuckGo browser? I couldn’t access the SU site for the longest time, but after switching to DuckDuckGo, everything works perfectly now.

Well, this is unfortunate. Sorry to see you go, but it's understandable if you can't enjoy your time here.

This message board has been glitchier for me and extremely slow at times.....but nothing as bad as you are describing. I hope that the powers that be can fix whatever issues are causing the problems many are having seeing and navigating this website.

There isn't going to be any traffic here if it's difficult to see the board or it takes forever to load a single page while making multiple attempts.

Any disagreements are in the rearview. All the best to you, and I hope you find another Steelers home.

Who knows, maybe this website will get things straightened out and you'll be back here in no time.

I think we are all experiencing times when the site either loads very slowly or not at all. I'm having issues with mobile. Others seem to be having issues with non-mobile. I'm genX, I don't understand any of it.

Have you tried using the DuckDuckGo browser? I couldn’t access the SU site for the longest time, but after switching to DuckDuckGo, everything works perfectly now.

Same here. I disable the security in the URL window and I am good to go.

The problem is browsers like Firefox, Waterfox, Brave, etc are constantly updating their security patches. These older sites are getting whacked every time they do that.

I use Firefox, and it's mostly been good. A couple of weeks ago I began experiencing the extreme slowdown that most of you are experiencing. The worst was when I would click the Reply button, but the box in which I could type my reply would never come up. I too thought that I was going to have to leave this site.

Then by accident I found something that worked for me, and maybe it will work for you guys. My slowdown problems always happened when I would come to this site immediately after I opened my browser. One day I opened my browser and spent time on a couple of other sites before coming here. Then as I was about to close the browser and logoff the computer I decided to try this site again just for the heck of it. To my surprise every page loaded almost instantly, including the Reply box. Everything was completely normal again. I have been doing it this way ever since, and haven't had a single problem. I don't know if this will work for you guys, but it's worth trying.

The site works for me, but the load times vary from instant to a long time with the spinning wheel of death rotating for a minute or more between clicks. Sometimes I click on something and then go to a different window for a little while and then come back to see if the page loaded. It's not the best way to spend the valuable time in our lives.

I hope the powers that be can figure something out to improve the experience here.

I won't let the place go unless/until it goes. I usually just check the forum to see how it is loading. If it is not loading easily, I just bypass it. If it is loading easily -like today - then I will check it out. Now if there is no activity on game days then it will probably be a good indication of how long the forum will last.
