It is the middle of the off season, what do you expect? I've chatted on another board (for a team I won't mention but it was for another sport) where there is a section called "Members Only". Basically anything goes there, politics, BS'ing, sharing pics from a vacation, and anything you can think of.

I've chatted with these guys for pushing 30 years now. Some guys have passed, some have their kids posting now. The only rule is if you can't take getting called out or teased then you don't go there. The only off limit things are racism, posting nudes, doxing, and other logical no go zones. Outside of that most of the guys that chat there have met off board and are friends. I chatted with a guy from that board that lived near Mt. Rushmore and he and his wife met me and my family for a beer and recommended what sights to see when we visited South Dakota one summer.

This place doesn't have a place like that to post here. The Soapbox is the closest but no one but a few from here go there. The other board everyone went to the Members page first and talked about the team second.

It is just a natural aging progression
I am on another board that started in early 1990s up to Yahoo message boards now they have a Google message boards that nobidy uses and Facebook which most who are left are on. Those guys are about the same age as here and the active board members are only a handful. The rest will chime in during the season.

Right now this board is about the same. You got your draftniks who are active in draft season and the game day group that will freak out (me included) during and after games, then there is the day after where more will post

The forum itself technically is old as dirt and is in desperate need of an upgrade. All the browser issues plus I couldn't even log in on my phone the other day.

It's off-season and people are busy. Once preseason starts it will pickup

Come to think of it - getting back Logan Lee and Roman Wilson will be like getting 2 additional draft picks for this year’s draft.

so two DLs from Iowa in Black and Lee and Metcalf and Roman Wilson as additions to WR. Not too shabby

    I agree.

Don't forget about OT Troy Fautanu as well. It's as if they added a OT in this year's draft because he didn't play a regular season down last year with his injury.

Safety Ryan Watts would have been another, but unfortunately it appears his football career is over as he was forced to retire with a neck injury having never played a regular season snap.

Let's hope that the team can stay much more healthy this season.

EDIT: Fautanu was injured in the first preseason game, but came back to start in the second regular season game before getting a separate injury that ended his season. So he did get some regular season snaps, but not many.

you are totally correct. fautanu is another draft pick that didn’t play. It’s amazing that we got to the playoffs last year with significant number of rookies not playing. But the ones who did - Frazier, Wilson and McCormick - kudos to them.
