    Have Fun With This One!

    Meyer gets to stay.

Honestly, at this point, I think the Rooney's won't authorize firing anyone under contract. It is too consistent and too historical of a trend to solely be at the feet of Tomlin. They did this under Cowher as well. Same with players.

When he openly says the size of the staff is not a problem, mean while watching good teams bulk up their staff and analytics department. But we got a solid, Tomlin really likes this guy scouting department.

Starting to wonder if things will ever change. I mean we could certainly luck into an all-star QB that hides a ton of flaws, but it's unlikely

Didn't Dan step in and force Ben on Cowher?

Re: Have Fun With This One!

I'll throw out a prediction that we will get from #8 to a top 3 team in years since a playoff win. The Jets will be tough to beat but I could see the rest winning one before us
    Dolphins
    Raiders
    Jets
    Bears
    Cardinals
    Panthers
    Broncos
    Steelers

We gonna just keeping up running back the same BS in hopes that we make some miracle play and get that wildcard win and get killed in division round

Re: Have Fun With This One!

I was in favor of getting rid of Meyer mostly because of what I have read on here (from posters like LLT) and other places about the Steelers' lineman lack of technique. Production wise, I would say it is a mixed bag. It does not seem like the o'line improved over the year this year once the starting 5 got set by play and injury. Then there is Jones' struggles which I can't explain but he certainly has progressed very slowly.

On the other hand, they did have a lot of injuries early in the season. Dan Moore most certainly progressed. And the rookie starters this year were both above the line for rookies - how much credit Meyers gets is an unknown, but Frazier seems to be a stud in the making.

So, over all I think it is a mixed bag but would have been a great place to to make an upgrade.

It sure sounds like the team has all the talent in the world on the OL with all those high draft picks and free agent signings.

Tomlin should have no problem getting that group to dominate through sheer force of will.

Assistant offensive coaches apparently don't matter. Only talent matters.

Sure. That’s an apt characterization of what I’ve been saying.

Please go back to the multiple posts where I gave the Eagles OL coach credit and discussed Fangio being really good at his job.

Cheers. Not sure who pissed in your Cheerios but it wasn’t me.

What I said wasn't meant to be as confrontational as you are taking it. I guess I should have added a chuckle emoji.

    Sorry about that.

I wish we could sit down over a beer and talk football. I hate that when we type words it is difficult to get the true intent and context of what someone is saying. Reading the typed word often leaves too much interpretation of the meaning, tone, and intent of the author. There is often far more to be said than was typed.

I always tell my kids that even as grown adults they bicker over a text that is written perhaps in the simplest way of sending it (just the facts no extras to define intent or show emotions) and it gets taken as hostile .....

no emotion in the written word unless you include it ...

    we all do it ....

    Absolutely.

I read Mojouw's response, and I was taken aback. Then I read my own words and I'm like.....I didn't mean it the way it could be interpreted by him.

The written word can be difficult to convey exactly what you are trying to say and how you mean it.

vocal inflection and facial expressions keep this from happening with in person vocal communication... MSG boards have never worked that way and perhaps is the cause of half the issues or more ...

one person takes something wrong and gets testy the other person takes that as written and gets more hostile , next thing ya know full blown war
