    They'll be the home team.

The date looks like Sept 26th. I bet that is a nice time to visit Ireland. After the summer crowds, but not before the long rainy winter.

I'm having this vague memory of the Steelers playing in Ireland in the 90's, maybe for a preseason game, and Greg Lloyd said something derogatory about the Irish people leading to someone in the crowd displaying a sign saying "Pog mo thoin, Lloyd."

I'm not against this game. It is the Steelers extra home game so not losing as much as if they only had only eight home games to start. Also, I can't bemoan the Rooney's for trying to promote their brand in a place they may already have a little "in," even though I think the whole NFL European Strategy is mis guided. The only negative is that it might mean our bye week after the trip to Ireland which would be really early. Of course, we should be used to the early bye week by now.

Surprised it is the Packers. I thought it would be Seattle since it is the extra non-conference game. Plus, as I was looking when I first heard about this, Seattle has a larger Irish population than even Pittsburgh. I am guessing if Chicago had been a home game that would have been the team.

Is the game going to start at 10AM Pittsburgh time, which would be 7AM for Steeler-in-west?

I don't even want to THINK about what time it would be for hawaiiansteeler.

I hate all international games, but especially those that occur on continents other than North America.
