The Dolphins were not a physical team. Their defenses were soft. Montana destroyed that defense in SB 19.

Dolphins didn't have a consistent RB. They did have 2 very good receivers.

They had an all world center but their O lines and D lines were not dominant.

Marino was the best player on the team after the 1973 season and probably since. I got to meet some of them in Miami. Larry Csonka and Bob Griese were beloved in South Florida. The 1970s Steelers were the evolution of that Dolphins team since the WFL destroyed the Fins.
