I will go into this now expecting a trade back in rd 1 unless their guy is there and I believe that is Nolan or Grant ... if they are gone or both there expect them to trade back a bit to try and get an extra pick
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
Drafting a mock after trading away their second round pick for Metcalf.
21: R1 P21 DL Kenneth Grant - Michigan
83: R3 P19 QB Tyler Shough - Louisville
123: R4 P21 CB Zy Alexander - LSU
162: R5 P24 RB Raheim Sanders - South Carolina
185: R6 P9 CB Jason Marshall Jr - Florida
239: R7 P23 DL Zeek Biggers - Georgia Tech
Drafting heavy DL with big bodies and cover corners while still getting a developmental QB and a stud running back.
as it stands right now we should be looking at 5 comp picks in 2026 and since they are tradable now that will aid moving up ....
Per http://OvertheCap.com, the Steelers are currently in line to receive 3rd, 4th, 5th and two 6th round compensatory picks for their FA losses.

21. Nick Emmanwori Safety, S.C.
83. Dorian Strong CB, VaTech
122. Ollie Gordon RB, OkState
163. Rylie Mills DT, ND
I read today the Giants may not go QB at 3 overall. That they may take Carter and then trade back into the first to take aQB. I went and looked at the value chart. The Steelers 1st and 5th would return is the Giants 2nd and 3rd.
Interesting.
Pick 21: Jahdae Barron CB, Texas. I doubt he will fall to us at 21 but he did in this mock so I drafted him. Elite Slot Zone CB with reliable coverage and tackling skills.
Pick 83: Will Howard QB, OSU. I've been locked in on Howard for a long while now. He's not perfect and needs to develop cleaner mechanics, which he can learn behind Mason Rudolph this season.
Pick 123: Joshua Farmer DT, FSU. 3T DL in the mold of what the Steelers seem to prioritize. Elite first step speed and quickness makes him a rotational pass rusher immediately.
Pick 156: Danny Stutsman ILB, Oklahoma. Downhill off-ball LB that is a hard tackler. Exceptional vs the run and as a blitzer. ST ace for all coverage units. Likely eventual replacement for Matakevich and Robinson.
Pick 185: Phil Mafah RB, Clemson. 6'-230 zone RB. The Steelers brought him in for a visit. Short yardage and early downs specialist.
Pick 229: LaJohntay Wester WR, Colorado. Slot receiver/punt returner for when/if CA3 leaves after next season. Exceptionally speedy and quick with elite change of direction and stop-start ability.
Made some trades this time. Have fun picking at it. Post your own.
28. Omarion Hampton RB, UNC
61. Darian Porter CB, Iowa State
86. Shemar Turner DT, Texas A&M
123. Will Howard QB, OSU
137. Jordan Phillips DT, Maryland
156. Danny Stutsman ILB, Oklahoma
229. Antwane Wells Jr WR, Ole Miss
256. Johnny Walker OLB, Missouri
Would you trade all the draft picks away to get the #1 spot and pick Ricky Sanders?
All Defense!
21. Nic Scourton OLB, Texas A&M
83. Will Howard QB, OSU
123. Dont'e Thornton WR, Tennessee
156. RJ Mickens FS, Clemson
185. Ty Robinson DT, Nebraska
229. Phil Mafah RB, Clemson
I don't know that answer. Maybe he's more of a pass rushing DE? Maybe he's more of a joker you move around the front 3/4 and find favorable matchups?
At this point, I'm just trying out different combos at positions with different players. 6 picks, one of them will likely be QB, looking at adding 5 quality guys starting at pick 83. It's not an easy task.
