    Eagles Week

It looks as though we will be without GP once again. Chalk this up to an L without our top WR threat. Going to have to rely on the defense to win this if we want to have a chance. Need to bottle up Saquan and keep them in 3rd and long all night (to counter act the “tush push”). I originally thought we would lose this game anyway, and of the remaining games, this would be the one to least affect playoff seeding so I guess I am not super upset with whatever outcome.

On a positive note, Russel will need to rely on the other WRs and get more comfortable with them, so when GO does come back, it should be better.

38-6 Eagles. Kenny Pickett throws for 5 TDs and kicks the XPs and FG after Hurts and Elliott ride a motorcycle off a cliff.

This game is winnable if the defense shows up and plays lights out, which i think they will. Russ and the O-line needs to have a good game also.

    Steelers - 31

    Eagles - 28

Without Pickens, the offense need to be balanced and run the ball very well against this great eagles defense.Their pass defense is likely the best in the NFL....Our defense need to be great in this game.If the eagles score around 30 points, the chance will be slim to none

So, we need to bench Patterson . . . Got it

Give Mike Williams 8-10 targets and Jaylen Warren 12-15 touches and the Steelers win 24-22.

This game really doesn't have a lot of ramifications for us, we just need to come out of it healthy.

True. We’d like to win ‘em all but Ravens game is the biggie.

I think the biggest ramification is it is a measuring stick game.

Despite recent struggles, the Iggles have been a high caliber team on both sides of the ball for most of the season. I think they have a top ranked defense and their offense has been pretty good as well.

If the Steelers want to make hay in the playoffs, they have to be able to go on the road and beat a team like the Iggles.

Steelers have not won in Philly in decades, but Wilson knows how to win there. Expect Russ to distribute the ball. Whoever wins will come down to turnovers.

I don't think the Steelers have to win in Philly to 'measure up'. Just don't get boat raced and look like a contender. Still have weeks to go. Anything can and will happen.

They have a victory over only 1 "for sure" play-off team - the Ravens. That took the best kicker in a generation missing three kicks.

They have three victories over "fringe" playoff teams - Chargers, Broncos, and Commanders. Two rookie QBs, a Chargers team that had an injured Herbert and ran out of offensive linemen, and while all three featured Fields at the helm for the Steelers, none were convincing wins.

I agree to that they do not have to win, just not get squashed. But I do think a win would go a long way towards validating what many believe about the potential of this year's team.

We are 10-3 and 2 full games ahead in the division with a tie break win over our rival for the division. All this with a brand new offense. If that's not validation enough, good luck.

It is validation that the current approach on offense is superior to the recent past.

It is not validation that the 2024 Steelers can go on the road and beat a “contender” outside of a divisional opponent.

I’m eager to see where they stack up.

Tucker's had the "yips" for the better part of the last two seasons from my understanding, so it wasn't a one-game anomaly. I also think it's safe to say that the best PK in the NFL now wears a Steelers uniform.

They’re 4-0 against teams with winning records. But I count every win the same. These are NFL teams not Eastern Michigan.

True. You can only play the games on your schedule and no style points in the NFL.

But the weird scheduling this year means we are still learning about this team’s true potential.

You could create a very similar “ifs and or buts argument” about the Chiefs this season and would be extremely easy to do the same with the Eagles.

You could argue that the Iggles have had a soft schedule as well. Not exactly a murderers row of opponents. They also lost to the Buccaneers and Falcons.

Of course they have Mr. Barkley who has dominated this year and could possibly gash the Steelers defense all day.

With that said, I have nightmares of 2008 when Ben couldn't avoid any sacks and was pummeled all day. Also 2016 when they whooped Pittsburgh's ass.

Yeah...same nightmares. They fare well at home...not so much on the road. LET RUSS COOK!
