I heard today that the run schemes that the Eagles run are evidently the schemes that give the Steelers the hardest time. The outside zones are what the Steelers defend the best but the Eagles style is what gives them problems.

Also for the defense against the shotgun run,I think one of the problem,they focus too much on the pass in this situation like last sunday vs browns when they had a 20 points lead and the browns had some big run on second down and 10....The focus for Pittsburgh vs eagles will be on Barkley for sure

Not necessarily. Some times just match personnel better with other teams. We were better than the Ravens for several years, but they were able to beat the Patriots and we weren't. The Browns beat us but they are not the better team as shown in the second match up. As the say... any given Sunday.

If we end up with JPJr vs AJ Brown all game long, the refs let them play and keep their flags in their pockets, and Minkah can play closer to the LOS.....this is going to e a fun game.

I think this game has the highest potential of any on our schedule for us to get thumped. Just think the Eagles are the toughest matchup for us in any conference. We're going to feel the absence of Pickens and Elliot. Barkley will have a lot of "Damn if Elliot was playing that wouldnt have happened" plays.

I didn’t expect to win before all the injuries, I think we played better than I thought we would AFTER all the injuries. I am not upset and as this really changes nothing. I now know if we are healthy, we can play with this team who is a SB contender. Buffalo beat the Lions cause their defense is toast, so we may have just lost to the NFC Super Bowl team, and we beat ourselves and had key secondary injuries. Buffalo is probably the favorite for the AFC right now, after that I don’t think KC is as good as their record shows, then it is us and the Ravens. We will have a pretty healthy team heading into the playoffs so I am optimistic of a deep playoff run.

I don’t know…a couple bullshit Unsportsmanlike penalties, that clearly should’ve gone the other direction, an unsportsmanlike that should’ve given the Steelers a first down, an errant Mendenhall fumble…without that, this is maybe a totally different discussion.

I just don't think we were a good measuring stick for their team to be honest. They are good but I don't think they are the best team in the NFL. Like another poster said, we are the 2nd Tier of best teams in the NFL. I do think Buffalo is probably the best in the NFL at the moment. If Detroit gets back healthy, they will be up there as well.
