Muth and Skrow whatever was mentioned. At some point, if you’re getting taken off the field because a wideout is seen as a better blocker than you….gotta ask yourself some hard questions.

And what’s the point of Heyward playing fullback or H back or whatever you want to call it if you never give him the ball? You’re essentially taking a blocker off the field for a possible misdirection no one but Arthur Smith believes in?

I’ll hold further negative thoughts for another time.

Good game and even better win.
One of the main criticisms of Smith wasn’t so much the play calls as much as the personnel. Algier instead of Bijan, Hollins instead of London, Jonnu Smith instead of Pitts. The ball was spread around into the hands of less talented players instead of the playmakers. The personnel decisions are very suspect in my opinion and I’m not sure Skoronek is a better blocker than Freiermuth. Skoronek was out there as the single WR at times as well. Is he better than Williams, Jefferson, Austin
In, etc? I’m not sure he’d make another NFL roster if he was cu tomorrow.

The personal packages have made my brain hurt all season.

I kinda like Skoronek out there. As a WR - he can go long on a play action type of play and he is big enough (unlike the other WRs we have) to throw blocks. Finally he is expendable and so he can play with abandon and fling his body aggressively. We can’t have Pickens or Williams do this and Austin Jefferson and Miller can’t do this.

With the decline of Justin Tucker, Boz is now indisputably the best placekicker in the NFL.

John Carney for the Chargers did it in 1993

Chargers win both games. No TDs

I think RW thought he's huge so throw it up there and let him go get it. He must have seen him do it in practice but for some reason Washington got turned the wrong way and you can even see Marlon Humphrey break off of Washington to go get it. I still would like to see them put a play in where Washington just boxes out the defender and RW/Fields zips the ball to them. That play was actually open there. Mahomes and Kelce always do that play and it is really hard to defend without interfering with the receiver.

Washington is a beast and should definitely be used more. He CAN catch and when he does you can tell DB's are not looking forward to tackling him.

And the 2000 Titans were a year removed from going to the Superbowl as well.

Pickens is now 3rd in the NFL in receiving yards, trailing only Chase and Jefferson.

That's pretty cool. Unfortunately, the next Steeler on that list is Pat Freiermuth at 99th and the next receiver on that list is Calvin Austin at 110. If we lose Pickens to injury . . .

The Peyton Wilson INT and Herbig forced fumbles were big.

The Russ INT was tough, as I think Washington should have been able to make a play on it, but the big guy isnt the same athlete as other TE's.

I know people want to hack on Jones, but again I think his play is improving. That one hold was really a matter of hand placement on the shoulder and not inside the frame...which I really wonder if they are coaching that hand placement because its where he targets all the time.

Actually, if you count his extra points, Boz is responsible for 107 points. 29 FGs and 20 XPs

Yes...I'm not sure of the thought process. I would think Roman Wilson and Mike Williams trotting out there would be better than Scottie Miller and Skoronek...I would think...but maybe that's why I am here instead.

And Boz leads the league in Fg percentage this season. He only missed one, and I believe it was 50+ yards. He’s easily the most reliable kicker in the NFL right now.

If the Steelers win the Super Bowl, Boz will be one of the top 3 reasons. He is just incredible from 50+.

Russell Wilson was running for his life when he threw that, probably hoping that Washington would fight for it, he didn’t. If Russ throws that under less duress its probably more accurate - and a TD. I dont know if the Ravens saw something and confused our O linemen or just beat them (maybe both) but the O line has to play better.

By the way…did anyone see TJ Watt punch the shot out of Zay Flowers during the game? If you didn’t, look it up…he did to Flowers what Tyson should’ve done to Paul.

How the hell did we go so long without a good punter and then magically end up with 2 in the same season. Good problem to have, but im going to hate us most likely losing him (and Fields) in the offseason

I posted that in another thread. But I also realized that was from last year. Just for clarification.
