It is rare, even when one or the other is in a down year, that these games are not hard-fought battles. I think overall to most fans, the Steelers-Ravens rivalry has lost some panache. No more Roethlisberger and Flacco. No more Reed and Polomalu. No more Lewis and Harrison. But it’s still the best rivalry in the NFL. They may say Bears-Packers is the best due to longevity, but how often do those games decide a NFCN championship? Not often. Steelers-Ravens often do.
If Pittsburgh wins, they will be 8-2 and Baltimore will drop to 7-4, and the Steelers will have a decisive lead in AFC wins. This is an important game and I expect it to be real smashmouth AFCN battle tomorrow. My heart tells me the Ravens walk away with the W due to their offense, but my head tells me the Ravens secondary can’t contain Pickens, Evans and Freiermuth and that tells the tale.
That, or some ST shenanigans that catches Baltimore with their pants down. No thanks. We saw Henry’s ass cheeks already this year.
