Heroes - the 2nd half team, Russell Wilson, Mike Williams, Pickens (sick TD catch) punt coverage team.
Goats - Fake punt, Highsmith's ankle (hope it is just a sprain).

Heroes - Russ (despite him looking rusty on some passes), Pickens, Heyward, Queen, and one for the new guy with a clutch TD, Williams. Me for being 4-0 with my Minkah jersey

Heroes- Pickens Muth Najee Cam Queen.
Goats- fake punt. officials.
Russ has been nominated hero for past 3 weeks.
Shows us how long we’ve been starving for a legit QB and he seems to it
Heroes: Men and women honored in the game today and their brothers and sisters.
Steelers Heroes: Russell, Pickens, Mike Williams, Najee (ran like a man possessed again)
Goats ; Nobody really. Didn't like the fake punt at that moment and field position. Also, too many PI and holding penalties in the first half. Were we more "grabby," or was it being called closer? Either way got to clean that up.
Heroes: Russ, Pickens, 2nd half Watt
Goats: Tomlin for the fake punt and the Refs. I know they almost pulled the fake punt off but so what? We were still deep in our territory and it was very early in the game and we still had the momentum on the road. Game turned into a dogfight after that fake and spotting them 7 points. Just bad time to attempt that stuff.
That is interesting. Even more support that the PROCESS was great. The decision, the play design, etc. The execution was poor. But I can not slam the decision as a goat.
Speaking of decisions....and this is way off topic....but who thinks Tomlin authorized a play on that final 4th down? I totally do. I think they had the cadence thing first and then Wilson likely had the authority to run a designed play as well. But I could be way off.
I dont think they were going to run a play if the cadence didnt work. Its usually just to draw off the defense, but you never know with Tomlin.
Exactly. Hindsight is 20/20. Pierre was a wide open gunner with no on near him. Good call, shitty drop.
Goats
1) Porter: McLaurin abused him all day, Jayden Daniels actually had a pretty tame day kept alive by Porter either getting cooked or getting cooked and trying to save face with DPI
2) Pass blocking
Heroes
1) RW, enough said. Even the interception, good decision to give Pickens a chance when our offense was kaput, suboptimal result. Really just turned into an arm punt. Did well despite having to run for his life all day
2) DeShon Elliot is arguably the craziest steal of the offseason. And he might not even be the biggest steal on this team, see #1 above. Still severely underrated, Khan needs to lock him up immediately this offseason
Merry Christmas
Good list. It will be interesting to see if the pass blocking was a systemic issue (like the whole line had breakdowns) or if it was 1-2 players. It felt like Fowler was picking on someone....but I do not know who or what was leading to him wandering through the backfield every other play.
No it's bad idea at the a point in the game period. If it works at best it's 1st down at the 20. If it fails it loses momentum gives the other team a will an d a short field to score.
So let's say it's successful, and we run three more epakys and out. Wow what a game changer
