Pickett wasn’t nearly as bad as people think. Like someone said he led two “game winning” drives. Wasn’t perfect, wasn’t terrible. Better than Sam Howell but not nearly as good as DangerRuss. ️

I’ll tell you a guy that looked good even without big stats is Michael Penix. That kid throws it on a rope and very accurately. He has a canon!

Penix was very accurate yesterday. All these rookie QBs seem to be the real deal. I'm sure one or two will come back to earth next year (ala Mac Jones), but they're all better than Kenny.

CJ Stroud has come to earth…but yes all are better than what the 2022 class appears to be.

The Eagles scored 33 points. When Pickett came in the game the Eagles led 7-0. So in roughly three and a half quarters the Eagles scored 26 points with Pickett as QB.

Washington scored 36 points and Jayden Daniels had 5 TDs. Last time I checked, Pickett didn't play defense.

You wouldn’t understand the hate for KP because you’re both guilty of treason. The actual narrative is he quit on team and pouted when he was outplayed by a 6 year 2nd or 3rd stringer lost his job, and asked for trade when competition brought in. Those are facts. Is it silly to “hate” a guy who quit in team I root for? Hate your word, I don’t hate him one bit. I do wish Parsons gives him a nice hit to his ribs though. As bad as offense has been especially when GP out it’s still better than last year . The last 3 games is basically what we had all last year.

So, he led his team to 24 points in a half and scored 2 touchdowns. Saquon Barkley has 40 yards rushing.

Just so everyone understands. This is only one half of football. There is still another half to go, but Pickett had a very good first half when he was prepared to be the starter during the week.

He will probably be handing the ball off a lot now that they have a big lead. Let's see how he finishes.

I think a lot of KP hate is unwarranted. He spent almost his entire time here playing in Matt Canada's offense. An offense that made Ben Rothlisberger look bad, that he abandoned totally at the end of games. We only saw him play with a different play caller for 2 games. I think KP is a little like Doug Flutie...he's not always gonna look pretty but finds way to get it done. Based on what I'm seeing out of him today against Dallas, I imagine someone will make a play for him in the off season and he'll end up starting somewhere next year. I was pissed off at him for bailing on the team after the getting Wilson, at the same time, who knows what Tomlin actually said to him about the situation. Multiple players over the years have said Tomlin told them one thing and then did differently (James Harrison a notable example).

I know I will feel a lot better about the Steelers moving on from him if he never becomes a good quarterback. We simply won't know that for a while.

I flipped to that game when Titans/Jags went to half. He had a very nice deep throw to Smith that was nearly a TD throw. Down to the 2 yard line. They ran the brotherly shove twice after that to get KP his rushing TD.

The so called “hate” (your word) stems from his immaturity and his quitting on the team. Some have a different interpretation. Do I think he’s a starting caliber quarterback? Maybe #29-32. Those guys are always looking to be replaced. He should be able to play 8-10 years as a backup.
