Man, they better not put him in the Hall of Fame posthumously

RIP. I’m a lifelong Reds fan. After Bench, he was my favorite player.
He did it all as a player and coach.

his ban was and is over the top , yeah I get rules are rules but facts should take precedence , he never bet against his team thus he never fixed a single game in order to win a bet ....
several others in the HoF couldn't say that yet here we are ..........
Paul Hornung (NFL)
Shoeless Joe Jackson (MLB)
Ty Cobb (MLB)
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
Just as recent as last season or the season before there an NBA player that was caught being the under on himself and then tanking in games in order to win the bet. The stupidity in that is a whole discussion by itself. The main point to me, allowing these gambling sites not just into pro sport but in some cases they are representing organizations now. ESPN has its own gambling site now. They report the' news'. How much influence do they have to move betting lines? "... it's rumored Mahomes will miss a game....", by unnamed source even. Zero culpability.
I believe this will ruin sports over time. Individuals wagering as it was before was harmful at times. Making it a mainstream part of the sports landscape is just a move of pure greed by those in charge.
I think it is the mouse. The mouse wants all the money. Muuhaaaa!
The way sports betting is taking over sports is like arresting somebody for smoking a joint at the beach.
