I would be interested in seeing the offense with Wilson. But the biggest problem is the lack of a run game and a collection of WR4s on the field.

He DID lead a 4th quarter drive to get the Steelers back in the lead. But yeah, his play was mediocre otherwise.

I say give him one more week. If he can't put up more than 20 points against the Raiders, then give Wilson a shot.

Same with Pickett to a degree. How much is the QB and how much is the OC and/or Tomlin's offensive philosophy?

That’s what is hard to evaluate. I didn’t see a lot of opportunities. He got lucky a couple throws weren’t picked, but no misses to open guys. Najee continues to avg 3 yards and OL continues to turn 3rd and 2 into 3rd and seven. It’s not as tough as last year but still tough on QB in first year of system. Then throw in Pickens is out every third play. I thought he might be injured at one point. No playmakers. So I’m good with seeing Wilson now. 5-0 or 4-1 you go with hot hand but they need a spark.

I mean, better than Canada, because there are actual WR routes into the middle of the field, but none are open still. As for Fields, there were a few missed open guys he just didn’t throw to. I am hopeful Wilson can make those throws. If we could just make some mid to deep throws each game, teams can’t stack the box to stop the run. Of course if we weren’t fielding a bunch of rookies and 3rd stringers along the OL we would be doing better also. That being said, maybe the coaching staff could find a way to scheme through the issues along the OL instead of trotting out “the standard is the standard” and expecting those guys to perform at pro bowl starter levels.

130 passing yards with 3 extra possessions.

    Trash offense.

Allen can afford a bad game

    Fields cant.

Its true though regarding the O line. We’re going nowhere if the line isn't fixed. Also Smith needs to open up the passing attack and relieve pressure on the running game

The defense held a actual real NFL offense to 13 points until 20 seconds left in the game. They did their job. They got the ball for the offense 3 extra times. And the offense same as always unable to score points.

Facing a defense missing their 2 top D lineman, pass rushers. And they couldn't do shit

That’s debatable…those come much more often for Allen nowadays…

as long as this is the type of effort the QB gets from the WR's , its not gonna matter who plays QB

Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
