It's Tomlin's fault for bringing in a 36 year old QB as his main man without realizing that there was a good chance he could be injured.
Wilson injured himself (a) warming up on the first day in training camp, and (b) in a non-contact practice. Even assuming that he comes back in a week or two, how long do you think he'll last when he starts playing in actual games?
We need the chicken who spins a roulette wheel to call the offense.

3-0 .... there is no better case , top seed in the afc after 3 weeks when guys like Pete Prisco said we was the worst team in our division
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
Perhaps he’s turned the long history of ruining QBs around. There are a few articles out there how he is approaching Daniels a little bit differently so maybe it will work out for the two of them.Originally Posted by DesertSteel;[emoji[emoji[emoji638
Daniels is going to be the best of the 2024 QB class, surpassing Caleb Williams. Louis Riddick has been beating that drum since before the draft. I agree with him. That was his THIRD game in the NFL!!
I watched the game last night. Daniels has some good talent around him. McLaurin, Robinson, Ekeler (Didn't realize they picked him up),Ertz and Noah Brown made some small but key catches and L.Mccaffrey. They will be fun to watch. They need help on defense
On the other side the Bungles defense sucks. They could not stop Daniels. No punts and limited penalties for both teams.

Geeee and here I was thinking that this was a Fields thread…..My bad.
Russell Wilson is no Byron Leftwich, but at some point he is going to see the field. Keep riding Fields who did not necessarily prepare to be the starter in pre-season. If he continues to protect the ball and improve each week we could have a good young starting QB that you can build an offense around.
He needs to also avoid injuries and make smart decisions.
Getting Rid of Pickett and all the other dead wood that would never be champions was something new that management did. Normally they would roll and extra season or two before giving them the hook when it was obvious that they were never going to be good. A good QB wins early aka Big Ben off the bench after Tommy Maddox went down. Brad was a little slow because he threw a lot of picks, but he was the best Super Bowl QB in that ERA.

I'm actually surprised that I find myself getting comfortable with the thought of Justin Fields as the QB moving forward. When this whole thing started I was 100% fully in the Russell Wilson camp. I didn't even want Fields. I wanted Kenny to sit behind Russ and learn how to run the offense. I honestly thought that was the best case for 2024. I was actually disappointed when Kenny left and we brought in Justin Fields. Disappointed and angry, both at Kenny for quitting. But now, today, I honestly think this is going to work out better long term with Fields playing QB and Russ backing him up for when we need that veteran presence.
I feel the same. I definitely didn’t want Wilson and when they said they were getting Fields and Pickett whined his way out, I felt a little better. Watching Fields play these last three weeks and develop into a better QB than he was in Chicago has been fun to watch. I’m hoping this week they unleash him a little more…would like to see some good yardage and a couple TDs.Originally Posted by Born[emoji[emoji638
So when you guys mention Kenny again and again and again, it's MY fault.
Actually, most of the Kenny references on this board have nothing to do with me. It's just the Good Ol' Boys and the Kenny-bashers patting themselves on the back, bragging because they think they were "right", and engaging in an orgy of I-told-you-so's.![]()
Fields is putting this team on his back
Justin Fields 17/25 235
Justin Fields 7 35 2

the story of this game is the defense not being able to get off the field on 3rd down .... Flacco 6-7 on 3rd down for 6 first downs
