Something new? The Steelers are in this situation because they refused to take their lumps after Ben to rebuild and trying open a "window" that isn't there. If this were something new, they would've made wholesale changes instead of slapping a bandaid on the issue.

I'm of the opinion that this team's ceiling just gets lower and is far away from contention and Wilson is just re-arranging the deck chairs, but we'll see.

I thought for sure Kenny Pickett was going to be named the starting QB.

Based on the impressive way Kenny Pickett just barely beat out future Hall of Famer Tanner McKee for the Eagles backup QB2 job, Pickett certainly should be the Steelers starting QB if only we had given him more of an opportunity and time and not lied to and mistreated him the way we did.

I think maybe 3-5 snaps. They might have a series to run some read-option for him, but I dont think they want to undermine Wilson in his first start for the Steelers.

The alternative is that they communicate to both that there will be a couple series planned for Fields and he might get 6-8 snaps, but I dont think that I see it. They will try and win with Russ and defense.
