We have a brutal 3 game stretch coming up, we are tied with Buffalo for the #2 seed and have KC coming up soon. Can we run the table? That may give us the #1 seed. Honestly, to be in this conversation at this point is already a win. And to know the 3 games we lost we probably could have won if the ball bounced our way. I think we can go 2-1 with the loss being to Philly, we would lock up the division and start the playoffs at home.
One 4th-and-goal stop in the Dallas game and they'd be 11-2.
Still, not too shabby for a team all the "experts" picked to finish dead last in the AFCN before the season started.
The team performed well beyond expectations when I predicted 9-8. They had great regular seasons before and flubbed.
They need to get to and win in the playoffs. Otherwise it means nothing.

3-1 at a minimum to over take the Bills. Even at that we will probably be the third seed
2-2 we probably still win the division and get the 3rd seed.
1-3 we are still probably wild card bound but I don't even want to think about that.
So, my conclusion is anywhere from 3-1 to 2-2 we are likely to still win the division and be the third seed.
Bills remaining schedule- Lions , Pats, Jets, Pats
Chiefs remaining schedule - Browns, Texans, Steelers, Broncos
Ravens remaining schedule - Giants, Steelers, Texans, Browns
Regardless of what happens next if we beat the Ravens again we will I would think we would have the division. I know the Bills have 3 division games left and could drop one of them but unless they lose to the Lions we are not caching the Bills.

I really had no idea what to expect for this season. And, in truth, I've been this way for quite some time. I've felt that they are a second-tier team for quite a while. By that, I mean, they are not able to constantly compete with and win against the top 2 or 3 NFL teams but they will always be a team that competes for a playoff spot. In all honesty, right now, I still feel that way. It's not that they can't compete against Philly or KC. It's that they are not consistent enough on offense and the defense has a tendency of laying an egg now and then, and either one of those will force a loss against a top team.
Of course, come gameday, hope springs eternal. And, yes, I've spent the requisite number of hours on ESPN's Playoff Machine figuring out pathways to the number 1 seed.
We clinch the division if we beat Baltimore again, even if we lose the other three games.
yes, we’ve been in this position too many times before as recently as the 2020 season where we flamed out in the first round after going 12-4 in the reg season. Kansas City is not that good. They just aren't but for whatever reasons, the bounces and advantages always fall their way. If you look at how they've won games this season, they could very, very, VERY easily have 5-6 more losses.
As far as the 4 upcoming games, I think the best they can do is 2-2...realistically, I think it's 1-3 down the stretch and a wild card birth. I think they get clobbered in Philadelphia this week. If they come out and play the Ravens game plan to stop Hurts (Lamar) and Barkley (Henry), they might have a chance but I think they take a big loss this week.

I agree. If they were to beat the Eagles, I think that would take their confidence to the next level.

Eagles are definitely beatable. Now their star WR is publicly complaining about the passing game.
I feel like the eagles can be beat too. Just limit Barkley and make Hurts beat you. Hes a good Qb, but he’s not great, his numbers are nothing to rave about. I think we have the defense that can give their offense a real problem. The Panthers almost beat them yesterday so i think we have a real opportunity to break the losing streak there. I think 2-2 is doable to end the season.

People said the same thing about them last season, they were "weak" last season and yet, they went right though Buffalo and Baltimore on the road. People talk a big game against KC, then they lose and cry about the refs. Until someone actually knocks off KC, they're dangerous.

The Steelers haven't won in Philly the SB era. Russ has never lost to the Eagles in his career. One of these streaks will come to an end.
The Chiefs on a quick turnaround for a Christmas Day game. I know we will take this game way too seriously as fans. Spend Christmas with your family and friends. Give the NFL the worst tv rating they have ever had for this game. Greedy bastards!

True, but the good teams find a way of winning those game... even if it means doinking a kick off an upright and through.
I believe you are correct, we are about to be on a skid, but I am pleasantly surprised with this years team to be in the position we are in but still don't see us as truly "elite" not yet, but we can get hot when it really counts. Not a lot of "elite" AFC teams this years, I believe the NFC has more "elite" teams.

I don't mind the opponents so much as the lack of rest. Maybe they can minimize practice and keep rotating in fresh bodies? My biggest concern is injury due to exhaustion.
All Defense!
That is my main concern as well. If we was to lose a couple of big names to injuries then the playoffs are gonna be difficult to say the least. The NFL screwed us again this year with their 11 day schedule of 3 games, absolutely brutal!
