I see that in addition to reading comprehension that proportions are not your strong suit. You can find dozens of discussions about this where Homeland, Customs, non government law enforcement, etc all agree that very little proportion of fentanyl enters the country between ports of entry.
so I can either believe the folks who do this for a living or some dude on the internet who didn’t believe a boat could be buried under a street when we could see the ocean in the picture. Not a hard choice.
But why use facts and information when you can just repeat fantasy talking points?
Have a good day. Enjoy ranting into the void tonight.
Wow.

Because these two in particular are highly entertaining to make fun of. It is likely small and silly of me to do it but it makes me laugh. I will also point out that I was called stupid earlier and no one said anything. It appears dishing it out but not being able take it is a hallmark of the crowd.
Also if individuals can not see that setting up an impossible to prove/disprove hypothesis based on seemingly only the baseless assumptions of how VOR thinks international drug smuggling works then I jump to the conclusion that there’s not much foundation for discussion.
The data and information put out by CEBP and Homeland specifies that while no one knows how much of anything illegal is entering the country (since it’s illegal smuggling it’s impossible to know with accuracy) agents with both places believe seizures are an accurate representation of shipment proportions as well. But with the big caveat that I was day drinking while posting so mileage may vary.
Further, if you look into the long and detailed history of drug smuggling you will find it overwhelmingly uses existing ports and border crossings because that’s way easier to get your product quickly out for distribution. If you drop it over the border in west nowhere Texas, you have to then transport it out of west nowhere to somewhere useful. That’s a waste of time. But I’ve got no ready proof of that any more than VOR has that the border between crossings is awash with pills.
This entire debate seems to be a mirror for how you want to see things with little consideration of what’s actually taking place. My radical suggestion is that we listen to law enforcement rather than nonsensical politicos from either end of the spectrum.
Totally legit place to be.
I’ve been hearing about the border being the downfall of everything I should hold dear for over 4 decades. And not much has really changed.
I too fear that something really dire will happen but I think politicians prey on our fears more than portraying the reality.
But I live super far from the border and it almost totally doesn’t impact my day to day.
All of those are very real scenarios. I stand pat with my assessment that if we get 4 more years, meaning 8 consecutive years of the leftist ideoogy in the Whitehouse we are toast. They'll change everything up so there will never be an opposing party in the Whitehouse. Authoritarian. Scariest time in my lifetime as far as closing in on government control. Who has been and is running the show until January? It's simply not the beach comber.
If I don't have associates that are into taking illegal opioids....why would I worry about anything? -- https://healthandjusticejournal.biom...52-021-00163-5 or https://www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/me...ching-fentanyl if you prefer.
I wonder what a coast to coast border wall would cost for construction, maintenance, and staffing? Sounds super expensive. How are we paying for that again? Is Mexico still underwriting this? Also, are we walling off tourist beaches or just the parts where Mexico touches the US?

Teach a lib to fish--he is back the next day asking for more free fish.

I’d appreciate a little more empathy. I just got laid off from my vegetable picking job and found out my home has been converted into a reeducation camp for opioid addiction.
