The Steelers have always valued stability when it comes to leadership, and that was evident today when the team signed Coach Mike Tomlin to a three-year contract extension.
The extension will keep Tomlin with the team through at least the 2027 season.
"Mike Tomlin's leadership and commitment to the Steelers have been pivotal to our success during his first 17 years as head coach," said Steelers President Art Rooney II. "Extending his contract for three more years reflects our confidence in his ability to guide the team back to winning playoff games and championships, while continuing our tradition of success."

Sweet.
The Steelers will be the first franchise to three-peat.
I wouldn't have. I'd like to see that he actually can still have success in the playoffs before committing to him long term. I'd use this season as a prove-it season.
All he has to do is bring back all of Cowhers' players. I know most of them are in their 40's but I hear he can win it all with Cowher's players.
What do Ben and Jerome weigh these days?
I bet Deebo is ready.
I'm disappointed but not any more upset than usual today, because I expected this to happen all along. But I'm going to repeat something I wrote here a few months ago. I've been a loyal Steelers fan for over 60 years, I'm in my seventies now, and I would really like to see the Steelers win another Super Bowl or two before I die. And the longer Mike Tomlin remains the head coach of the Steelers, the smaller the chances are of my dream ever coming true.
Uninspiring move
