"Questions were asked among all three quarterbacks before Pickett asked for a meeting with Tomlin for clarification. That took place without incident and it resulted in Tomlin, almost immediately, flatly declaring that Trubisky would suit up and Pickett wouldn't."
It sounds like there was confusion over whether Kenny would suit up for Seattle or not, but it doesn't sound like Kenny was insubordinate and "refused to suit up." Probably a good idea to let this rumor die.
Kenny Pickett looked really good on the first day of Eagles training camp:
"Kenny Pickett had an impressive throw in the first team period, threading the needle to Grant Calcaterra on a deep crossing route in tight coverage. Pickett got the majority of the second-team reps on offense behind Jalen Hurts, working with second-year quarterback Tanner McKee as well. Pickett, who grew up an Eagles fan in South Jersey, drew loud applause after the pinpoint pass."

[QUOTE=Voice of Reason;860750]Um, you DO know that by the time MR came in and "played better", Canada was gone? Don't you?
I did. Wasn’t sure of your excuse to as why MR played better though. Kind of hard to find one really. I’m sure you’ll try.

Hurts is literally 34/37 w a td is one of the replies to the misinformation
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
The KP situation was not handled well by the Steelers. They should've played him when he was healthy, instead they keep playing MR. Of course the guy gets mad. We dont know the details and he may have gone a bit too far (we dont know its really all speculation). But then the steelers bring in Wilson after they named KP the starter (his job with some competition). Moment they signed Wilson we all pretty much knew he was going to be the starter. He wasn't signing here to be a backup. So i don't blame KP too much for wanting out. Steelers werent straight with him imo. Just hope they treat the next young Qb better, and get quality coordinators for change (hope smith is it)
Tomlin would have lost the locker room if Pickett would have returned as a starter when he was healthy, since Rudolph had back to back great games, which Pickett has never been able to do in his 24 starts and in the playoffs(or in a playoffs race), you play the players who give you the best chance to win
Another way to look at it is that the Steelers were straight with him.
Internally, they told KP on several occasions that they think he stunk.
Externally, they had the decency and self-interest to say cliches to the media and in forced NFL press conferences that they had faith in KP.
This isn't exactly an unsolvable logic puzzle. Within the confines of the team, their message was pretty darn clear -- we do NOT believe in KP's ability to win NFL games. Outside of that circle of trust, they had another clear message - dude is awesome! You should totally trade us something other than a bag of used jockstraps for him!
Not because Kenny was not bad that Trubisky mean that he was good....Kenny was still way below average and at the end of the season, when you have the choice between the hot hands(Rudolph) vs a QB who had 13 TD pass in 24 games,no matter the context, you stay with the hot hand when you are in a playoff race and you have the choice between those 2.....
First, you don't know that happened despite how much you want it to be so.
Second, if it did happen, that shows more how lousy the Steeler coaching and organization was rather than showing anything bad about Kenny.
Third, if it did happen, that gives Kenny a good reason to want to leave, and destroys the whole Good 'Ol Boy narrative that Kenny wanted out because he was afraid of competition. Oops.
